BENTONVILLE — Robert "Bob" Lee Meeks, age 75, of Bentonville, died July 12, 2015, at his home. He was born on Nov. 16, 1939, in the Grandview community in Carroll County, Ark., to the late Hal Meeks, Sr., and Ruth (French) Meeks.

Bob moved to Bentonville in 1964 from Eureka Springs and worked for Walters Printing Company and later Western Auto. He later owned a number of businesses in Bentonville throughout his 51 years in the area, including Meeks Phillips 66 stations, Bob Meeks Wrecker Service, Bentonville Towing, Meeks Backhoe Service, and numerous rental properties.

He retired from Bentonville Towing in 2005. He was very involved with his family, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, woodworking and going to casinos.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Meeks, of the home; children, Darrell Meeks and wife Carrie, Pamula Meeks McCarley, Mona Dunn, Kevin Williams, Twila Mitchell and husband Bob, Michelle Meeks Lane, all of Bentonville; his dogs, Ace, Gizmo, Teddy Bear, Little Bit, all of the home; sister, Bonnie Plumlee and husband Gene of Eagle Rock, Missouri; 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends Bobby and Patty Helt of Bentonville. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one great grandchild and one dog, Buffy.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Pea Ridge Cemetery Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
