Obituary:
Norman E. Sperle, 84, of Melbourne died Saturday, November 22, 2014, in Calico Rock.
Born January 5, 1931, in Faith, South Dakota, he was the son of John and Jenny Reinoehl Sperle.
Norman was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting and helping others. He was a member of the Melbourne Community Church.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Irene Jeffrey Sperle of Melbourne; three sons, Norman Sperle Jr. of Grangeville, Idaho, Mike Sperle of Thailand and John Sperle of Hayden, Idaho; a stepdaughter Alcena Gore of Melbourne; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, LaVern Sperle of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and Jerald Sperle of Souix Falls, South Dakota; three sisters, Laura Reardon, Mary Donner and Sandra Moeller.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Alan Sperle; two brothers, Raymond Sperle and Orville Sperle; and a sister, Karen Peterson.
There will be a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Melbourne with Paul Womack officiating.
Burial will be in Combs Cemetery in Melbourne.
Pallbearers will be Dale Walters, Bruce Gore, Buck Stills, Shannon Womack, Cole Reynolds and Jeremiah Reynolds.
Visitation is from noon until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, prior to the service.
