PEA RIDGE — Judge Ralph Wesley Bolain, 87, of Pea Ridge, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Bradford House Nursing & Rehab in Bentonville.

He was born at Bella Vista, Nov. 24, 1928, to John Wesley Bolain and Edna Jewel Petty Bolain. He served aboard the U.S. Army Hospital Ship "Comfort" in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He served on the Benton County Sunshine School Board for fifteen years. He served as Justice of the Peace for Mount Vernon Township, was elected Benton County Tax Assessor for two terms, was elected Benton County Judge for two terms, was a Benton County Deputy Sheriff for five and a half years, was a real estate broker and owned Bolain Realty in Pea Ridge for several years, was President of the Pea Ridge Chamber of Commerce, and Pea Ridge Masonic Lodge No. 119. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge where he taught Sunday School and was very active as long as his health permitted. He loved his Lord, his family, and his country.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Flarence Ella Buttry Bolain; a daughter, Sheryl Denise Bolain; three brothers, Jim, Herb and Ed Bolain; and one sister, Sharon Evans. Survivors are a brother, Donnie Bolain of Wichita, Kansas; a sister, Pansy Gastineau of Fayetteville; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Visitation is set for 5-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 46, Pea Ridge, Ark. 72751. Online condolences may be made at siscofuneralhome.net.

PEA RIDGE — Flarence Ella Bolain, 71 of Pea Ridge died Aug. 9, 2004, at her home. She was born July 9, 1933, in the Twelve Corners community near Pea Ridge to Dewey A. and Una Dean Buttry. She was a life resident of the area and was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts and painting. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge since 1954 and taught the GA’s and Sunday school for five years. She was also a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha in Pea Ridge. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheryl Denise Bolain on Jan. 20, 1975.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Ralph Bolain of the home; two nieces, Janice Fitzgerald of Rogers and Gloria Borgesmiller of Mounds, Okla.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sisco Funeral Home In Pea Ridge with Al Fowler and Jim Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in Buttram Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Sheryl Denise Bolain, 21, Pea Ridge, died at her home Wednesday morning. She was born Aug. 24, 1953, in Rogers.

She is survived by her parents, Ralph and Florence Bolain, Pea Ridge; her paternal grandparents, Johnny and Edna Bolain, Wichita, Kan.; and her maternal grandmother, Una Buttry, Pea Ridge.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday in Sisco Funeral Home Chapel, Pea Ridge, with the Rev. Clifford Palmer and the Rev. Harry Lingo officiating. Burial will be in Buttram Chapel Cemetery.
