Son of Gilbert & Pauline Alston
March 5, 1947 - September 19, 1967
Gilbert Leon Alston, Jr, aged 20 died Tuesday in a Pine Bluff hospital. He was born in Camden in 1947, and moved with his family to Pine Bluff in 1956. He graduated from Watson Chapel High School and attended Southern State College, and was employed by International Papers Company. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert L. Alston of Pine Bluff; one sister, Mrs. Brenda Billings of Davenport, Iowa; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harper Perdue of Camden and Mrs. Harry Alston of Thornton. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Methodist Church in Pine Bluff. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Camden Memorial Park with Benton Funeral of Fordyce in charge.
