March 20, 1898 - February 6, 1970
William Henry Murray, 71, of El Dorado, died Friday morning in a local hospital following a brief illness. Born March 20, 1898 in Old Hillsboro, Union County, he was the son of Henry F. and Mary Green Murray. He had retired from American Oil Co. having been employed there for 23 years. He was a member of the East Main Baptist Church. Survivors include a brother, Herman Frank Murray of El Dorado; four sisters, Mrs. Madie Patterson and Mrs. Mattie Lou Burley, both of El Dorado, Mrs. Grace Woods of Strong, and Mrs. Selma Powell of Birmingham, Ala. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Young's. (El Dorado Times - February 6, 1970)
