Geraldine Crownover Powell was born April 13, 1925, in the Gassville, Arkansas area and passed away March 6, 2016, in Flower Mound, Texas at the age of 90. She will be remembered as a loving wife, sweet mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a homemaker, loved gardening and children. She was the first born and cared for her brothers and sister. We will never forget her smile. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Nellie Crownover, her husband Harlin Powell, her brother Junior Crownover, and infant sister Imogene Crownover. She is survived by her sister Anna Joyce Pannell and husband Rudy, her brothers Dale Crownover and wife Sue, Fred Crownover and wife Betty, Darrell Crownover and wife Sue, and sister-in-law Mary Nell Crownover. Her daughter Cynthia King and husband Tom, son Kenneth Powell and wife Terri. Three granddaughters, Angela Patterson, and husband Adam, Dorian Wienken, and husband Colin, and Kassidy Powell. There were also six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2015, at Roller Funeral Home with Reverend Tom King officiating. A visitation will be Sunday from Noon until 9:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Whiteville Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
