Jack M. Colbert, 91 passed away Sunday at his home March 16, 2014 in Walnut Ridge. He was born July 8, 1922 in Lauratown, Arkansas to Hubert and Bulah Wilson Colbert. He married his wife Wilma on July 6, 1958. He had lived in Texas before moving to Lawrence County in 2005. He was a Technology Specialists and also served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II as a Staff Sergeant.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wilma Colbert; brothers, Ray Colbert, Sr.,and Billy Jewel Colbert; sister, Gladys Woodson.

He is survived by his sister, Thelma Davis of Walnut Ridge; several nieces, nephews, and special friends with two special caregivers.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Powhatan Cemetery under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10-11 at the Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: Billy Croom, Michael Croom, Ronnie Davis, Jim Prater, Leroy Johnson and Robert Shelton.

Memorials maybe made to the Childrens Shelter or the Powhatan Cemetery.

Sherrie Colbert
WALNUT RIDGE — Sherrie Colbert, 82, formerly of Dallas, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 16, 1927, at Rector. She was a homemaker and a very caring person. She loved children and animals. She volunteered many hours at the Dallas and Farmers Branch libraries.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Colbert of the home; sister, Grace Bailey; sister-in-law, Margie Durham; two nieces and a nephew, Karen, Judy and Paul.

No services are scheduled at this time by Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
In lieu of flowers, consider a local animal shelter.
