January 16, 1893 - November 16, 1974
Charles Picton Coulter, Jr., 81 of 1208 W. Elm, died Saturday in a local nursing home. He was born in Lockesburg on Jan. 16, 1893 and was the son of Ida Harriet Ratliff and Charles P. Coulter. He had lived here since 1921 and was a retired employee for Lion Oil Refinery, a veteran of W.W.I. the U.S. Navy, the Merchant Marines, and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Funeral services are to be held today at 10:30 a.m. in Young's Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Roy Bagley and the Rev. Ralph manning officiating. Burial will follow in the Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Young's. Survivors include three sons, Milous P. Coulter of Los Angeles, Calif., Ervin P. Coulter of St. Louis, Mo., and Robert M. Coulter of Huntsville, Alabama; two daughters, Mrs. Marvin W. Lawson of Denver, Colo. and Mrs. Robert W. Worley of El Dorado; two brothers, Rhea C. Coulter and Joseph M. Coulter, both of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Mrs. James T. Walton and Mrs. James C. Dilday, both of Pine Bluff; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson. (El Dorado News Times - November 18, 1974)
