Homer's parents were Aaron Willibie Pickett and Frances Emma Matthews Pickett Pender; Glenna's parents were Henry Oliver Hacker and Martha Frances Hunt Hacker
Glenna Audrey (Hacker) Pickett, formally of Portia left her life on earth at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and changed her address to Heaven, Saturday February 27th, 2016 at 95 years, 6 months and 16 days of age.
She was Born August 11, 1920 in Lauratown, to Henry Oliver and Martha Francis (Hunt) Hacker. She attended Coffman school and on August 7th, 1937 married Homer Denton Pickett and they shared 47 years until his death October 19, 1984. Homer and Glenna raised their family in Portia, Arkansas and moved to Kirksville, Missouri in 1964. They later moved back to Arkansas in 1982.
Glenna Audrey Hacker Pickett was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and a homemaker. She loved cooking, sewing, growing vegetable and flower gardens. She was of the Pentecostal belief, serving in the assembly of God and Church of God as a teacher, youth leader, and in special music. She also loved reading her Bible, singing, and playing the piano.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Henry and Martha Hacker, her husband; Homer Pickett, six brothers; Arvle, Aaron, AL, Brooks, James, and William, three sisters Savannah Hillenburg, Bama Gouts, and Merida Cherry and a son-in-law Fred Damron.
She is survived by a daughter; Phyllis Damron of Walnut Ridge, a son; Carroll Pickett and wife Sharon of Calera, Oklahoma, three granddaughters; Kathy Phipps and husband Brian, Kirstie Damron all of Wichita Kansas and Lesa Price and husband Andy of Ardmore, Oklahoma. One great grandson; Zach Phipps of Orlando, Florida, one sister Maxine Gollehon of Titsville, PA.
Graveside services was held at Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery February 27, 2016, Shawn McElhannon officiating under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Homes of Walnut Ridge and Lynn, Arkansas.
