Mr. Killies Tackett

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec 8 at the United Pentecostal Church for Kellies W. Tackett of Schlater, Miss. who died Saturday, Dec 5, 1987 at his home at the age of 80.
The son of the late Wiley B. and Lucy Pierce Tackett, he was born in Cleburne County on June 17, 1907. A resident of Van Buren County for most of his life, Mr. Tackett had lived in Mississippi with his son for two years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Higden United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Zora Jane Chalk Tackett; two sons, James Tackett of Bee Branch and William Tackett of Schlater, Miss.; four daughters, Mrs. Marie Bishop of Batesville; Mrs Pauline Sales of Bryant; Mrs Lavada Foster of Sunflower, Miss. and Mrs Maxine Meeks of Floral; one brother, Hubert Tackett of Higden; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Smith and Mrs. Muriel Compton, both of Higden; 25 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
C.E. Sturch officiated at the final tribute. Interment was in the Higden-McLahaney Cemetery by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
Great grandsons of the deceased served as pallbearers.
