Mrs. Zora J. Tackett

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan 23 for Mrs. Zora Jane Tackett of Schlater, Miss. who died Wednesday, Jan 20,1988 at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 81.
Mrs. Tackett was born in Cleburne Co. on Dec.29, 1906 and was a former resident of Higden. She was the daughter of the late William Jasper "Jap" and Cordelia "Delia" Rollins Chalk.
She was a resident of Van Buren Co. most of her life and was a home maker. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.
Her husband, Killies W. Tackett preceded her in death on Dec 5,1987.

Survivors include two sons, James Tackett,(Evangelist), of Bee Branch and William Tackett of Schlater, Miss. Four daughters, Mrs. Marie Bishop of Batesville; Mrs. Pauline Sales of Bryant; Mrs. Lavada Foster of Sunflower, Miss. and Mrs. Maxine Meeks of Floral ;one brother, Luther Chalk of Rose Bud; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Barden of Higden; 25 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren;two great-great-grandchildren,other relatives and many friends.
C.E. Sturch officiated at the final tribute. Interment was in the Higden-McLehaney Cemetery by Olmstead Funeral Home,Inc. Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased and honorary pallbearers were great-grandsons of the deceased.
