Heinze, Dorothy Jean, 89, of Coconut Creek, went to be with the Lord November 22, 2014. Dorothy was born June 8, 1925 in Moline, Illinois to the late Bryan Jennings Hinton and Anna Cecil Jones Hinton. She served her country honorably during WW II as a nurse in the United States Navy at the U.S. Naval Hospital, Long Beach, California. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Paul Kenneth Heinze and beautiful granddaughter, Jennifer Lynne Lockrey. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children, N. Lynne Lockrey, Paula J. Collins, Bryan A. Heinze, Benjamin (Melissa) Heinze, grandchildren, Paul Ashley Collins, Christopher Heinze, sisters, Nancy Mobley and Mary Predmore. A Mass of Christian Rite was celebrated on Monday, December 29, 2014, 10:00am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 9950 NW 29th Street, Coral Springs, with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Dorothy's memory to Susan G. Komen Foundation, 11098 Biscayne Blvd., #405, Miami, FL 33161, 305-383-7116, www.komenmiaftl.org.

Note: Graveside services were held at Hand Cemetery, July 23, 2015.
