Julius “Jules” Reiner Feinberg was born in Kerhonkson, NY, December 25, 1921. He passed away in El Dorado, AR, September 10, 2010. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Abraham and Rebecca (Reiner) Feinberg and his brothers, Henry and Seymour Feinberg. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Johanna, three children, David (Jane) Feinberg of El Dorado, Dorothy (Bob) Wells of Afton, WY, and Myra Sellers of Memphis, TN and three grandchildren, Sam, Thomas, and Meredith.
He served in the U. S. Army during WWII in the South Pacific and later received an Army Specialized Training certificate from the University of Minnesota. He earned a BS Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, MA, and was a Registered Professional Engineer in Arkansas and Mississippi.
Jules’ career in Engineering brought him to El Dorado in the early 1950’s where by 1957 he founded Pumps and Power Company, served as Chief Engineer, and was an innovator in the packaged/modular pumping industry.
He was active in the B’Nai Brith, Jewish men’s organization and served as Arkansas state president 1963-64. He was an avid reader, patron of the arts and loved traveling the world with his beloved wife, Jo. He will be remembered for his colorful stories, entrepreneurial spirit and determination.
Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, September 12 at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s.
