Mandy was the daughter of Isaac and Mary Woolard. On 19 March 1866 in Searcy County, Arkansas, she married William Hugh "Hughie" Rorie. They had the following children (in order of birth): Rebecca Louisa, Martha Jane, Cordela C. "Dilia," Roxie Elizabeth, Newton Simpson "Simp," Mary E., Alice Dora, Amanda Ardell, Melinda Frances, Lillie Mae, Minnie, and James Franklin.
