Eunice Mae Stone England, 99, of Magnolia, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at Magnolia Health and Rehab in Magnolia. Mrs. England was born Oct. 17, 1915 in Wrens, Ga., daughter of the late Elijah Stone and the late Eunice Wells Stone.
She was a homemaker in the truest sense of the word, bringing joy with her wherever she was. Mrs. England flourished at domestic work, including handmade clothing and soaps. She was an outspoken woman who loved nothing more than talking about her children and grandchildren, and their many accomplishments.
She is survived by four daughters, Eunice Murphy of Magnolia, Lillie R. “Peggy” Johnson and Annie King, both of New York, and Cathy Lennon of Texarkana; two sons, Frank Wiggins of Augusta, Ga., and Roosevelt Stone of New York; one sister, Anna Ruth Freeman of Wrens, Ga.; 31 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 21, at A.C. Henderson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Ellis Farris officiating. Burial followed at Pine Hill Cemetery in Emerson, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service of Magnolia.
