Sherrie Lee Hardwell was born on February 8, 1955 to the late Earlie Fields and Estella Rose Fields of Emerson, Arkansas. Sherrie died Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 10:05pm at St. Michaels Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas. AT an early age Sherrie moved to Dallas, Texas where she learned how to thrive as a young independent mother, wife, and women. She united in holy matrimony to the late Troy Lee Ward aka (Roy Lee Hatter) on January 13, 1972 and upon his death on September 22, 1980, Sherri and her two daughters moved back to Emerson, Arkansas.
Prior to Sherrie moving to Dallas, Texas as a young lady, she attended school at McMittress High School of Emerson, Arkansas. In Sherrie's early stages of life she enjoyed putting curls on her brothers' hair, playing softball, and horseback riding. Anything her brothers saw fit to do, she did it right along with them. Her occupations were many: Hotel Attendant and ER Carpenter when she lived in Dallas, Texas and upon moving back to Arkansas, she gained employment at Amful, Williamette, Waste Management and Alcoa. Sherrie also took pride in caring for the elderly and anyone in her family who needed her. Sherrie joined Pleasant Home CME Church in Emerson, Arkansas at an early age where she was a faithful member until her health failed. Even upon her health failing, with God's strength and with assistance from her children, Sherrie still remained faithful in attending church. In her early years of life, Sherrie sang in the choir, and she later became a gatekeeper of God's house by serving as a faithful usher. She served as an Usher until her health failed.
After dating the longtime love of her life Cedric Hardwell for approximately eight years, Sherrie united in marriage to Cedric Hardwell on May 25, 1990. Sherrie is preceded in death by her father: Earlie Fields, three brothers: Donnie, Donald Ray and Curtis Fields and one sister: Wanda Lou.
