Norvelle Clayton Ferguson, 84, of Little Rock, and formerly of Emerson, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at her home.
She received her bachelor of education degree from Philander Smith College and was a teacher for over 17 years in the McMittress/Emerson School Districts.
She is survived by her children, Stanley Young, Gerry Young Sr., Stephania Murphy, Larry Ferguson, Margie Turner, Vivian Jackson, Ruthel Monk, Verdell Luster, and Peggy Reed; 37 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon until 4 p.m. Friday at Henderson’s Mortuary in Magnolia.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Greater Roadside Church of God in Christ in Emerson, with Pastor Larry Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Emerson
