Mae Frances Walker Dexter, 67, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Emerson, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 7, 1946 to Theodore and Maggie Fields Walker. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Antonio Walker, Kelvin Darren Dexter, and Reginald Dexter; one brother, Doise Ray Walker; and three sisters, Glenda Sue Slocum, Brenda Walter, and Dorothy Walter. Survivors include one daughter, Lesha Biddle of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; one brother, Maurice Walker of Magnolia; nine sisters, Helen Sears of Ruston, La., Charlotte Reliford of Emerson, Denise Grooms, Rosie Walker, Mildred Walker, and Jacqueline Biddle, all of Magnolia. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 at Pine Hill CME Church in Emerson. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Marks Funeral Home of Magnolia. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
