He is the son of Alfred Anderson and Indiana J.C. Pritchett Robins. He married Eola Bell Helms 27 Jul 1888. They were the parents of six children.

Uncle Robert Robins, an old and respected citizen residing a few miles west of her, died at his home Saturday night and will be buried at this place by the Odd Fellow Fraternity. He had spent most of his life in this neighborhood and was love and honored by all who knew him.
