Lincoln C. Guffey 94, of Damascus passed away Monday, July 7, 2014.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Arkansas.

Lincoln C. Guffey 94, of Damascus, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 7, 2014. He was born February 12, 1920 in Old Lexington Community Shirley, Arkansas to George W. and Maude (Field) Guffey.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Reba M. Guffey of the home, sister, Lilly (Loyd) McKinney, brother, Bill (Sue) Guffey, grandson Randy Payne and two great grandchildren, Austin and Reanna he loved with all his heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Lorene and Sylvia.

Lincoln was a true Christian of the Baptist faith. A man with a heart of love, kindness, thinking of others before himself, placed God at the head of his home.

He served in the Army 3 1/2 years having received several medals. He was discharged October 21, 1945 came home and in two months he and Reba were married and had 68 wonderful years together. He was a cattle farmer and a carpenter.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday, July 9, 2014 and Funeral Service will be 10:00am Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas with Pastor Tracy Bush officiating. Burial will follow with U.S. Army Military Honors in Colony Cemetery Morganton Community Bee Branch, Arkansas.
