February 2, 1890 - February 23, 1965
Thomas J. Plair, 75, of 112 S. Flenniken St., died Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. in a local hospital following a long illness. Born Feb. 2, 1890 in Cleveland County, Ark., he was the son of Sam and Susan Glosson Plair. Mr. Plair had been a resident of El Dorado for the past 44 years. He was a retired oil leaser and royalty broker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include: his widow, Mrs. Annie Nunnally Plair, El Dorado; three sons, Ray Plair, Monroe, La., Thomas Plair, San Antonio, Tex. and Cecil Plair, El Dorado; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Rumph Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Strong Cemetery. Pallbearers were George McDonald, Ira Pockrus, Cecil Powledge, Tom Green, C. A. Richardson and Willard Hill. (The El Dorado Times - February 24, 1965)
