HOXIE -- Lottie Baird, 92, of Hoxie died Friday, June 1, at Jonesboro.

Having lived most of her life in Hoxie, she was a homemaker, a retired cook at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and was a Jehovah's Witness. She had been in Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab for the past two years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Darrell Baird; her parents; two infant sons; and three brothers.

Among the survivors are a daughter, Bonnie Murphy of Spring, Texas; sons, Jim Baird of Riverside, Calif., Jackie Baird of Springfield, Mo., John Baird of Tennessee, Bob Baird of Richmond, Texas, and David Baird of New Lenox, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill Tubbs of Jonesboro; and sisters, Lillie Lewis of Walnut Ridge and Francis Smith of Sedgwick.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday in House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge with Morris Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Old Military Cemetery near Sedgwick.

Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight in the funeral home.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
