Melvin Henderson Climer of Wynne, Arkansas passed away January 15, 2016 at the age of sixty-five. Melvin was born on August 9, 1950 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to Elmer Henderson and Mary Elizabeth Shipley Climer.
He attended the Calvary Apostolic Church when he could and worked as a carpenter and landscaper. He enjoyed being outside, gardening, working with his hands and most of all, loved being with family and friends.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents: Elmer and Mary Climer, one brother: Ernie Climer.
Mr. Climer is survived by one son: Melvin Thomas Climer, two sisters: Mary Smith of Pulaski, Tennessee, Evelyn Roberson of Charlotte, North Carolina, three nieces: Brenda Tomerlin and husband, Mike of Goodspring, Tennessee, Barbara Tucker and fiance’ Ed Fiqueroa of Crestview, Florida, Gina Branch of Pulaski, Tennessee and several great nephews and nieces.
Services are Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Apostolic Church in Wynne, Arkansas. Interment will be in Galatia Cemetery in Norfork, Arkansas. Visitation for Mr. Climer will be 6 till 8 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Thompson-Wilson Wynne funeral home. 870-238-9400 www.thompsonwilsonfh.com.
