Marian the daughter of Elmo George Glenn Smith and Ina Pearl (Lawson) Smith.
Marian Roberta Smith Reynolds was born on June 30, 1933, (the only child of Glenn and Ina Lawson Smith) at Imboden. She passed from this life at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center on Jan. 16, 2014.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by two uncles, Cecil Smith of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Wayne Smith of Pocahontas; special cousins, Dr. Noel Lawson, Little Rock, and Vivian Lawson Hogue, Conway; and many other relatives and friends.
She was proud of her bachelor and master degrees (she had attended Williams Baptist College, Arkansas State University and East Texas State Baptist University) and was a retired school librarian, an avid reader, and had been an excellent pianist. She played piano for the Clear Springs Baptist Church for years, sharing those duties with her mother.
Funeral service was conducted by her cousin, Russell Smith, on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Home. Burial was in Kelly Cemetery at Black Rock.
