August 20, 1904 - June 18, 1969
Percy Gathright, 64, of Ruston, La., died early Wednesday in a Ruston hospital foolowing a short illness. Mr. Gathright was market manager for a food marker in Ruston and was a native of Strong. He was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church of Ruston. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Arcola Gathright of Ruston; two sons, Herbert Gathright of Colum bia, La., and CW-4 Jimmy Gathright, Lawton, Okla; two brothers, Louie Gathright, Bastrop, La., G. B. Gathright, Strong; two sisters, Mrs. Ettsa Mae Trammell, Bastrop and Mrs. Pearl Justus, El Dorado; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Methodist Church with the Rev. Doug McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in Strong Cemetery under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. (El Dorado Times - June 18, 1969)
