May 22, 1901 - October 25, 1965
Mrs. Ocie Dopson Laurie, 64, died at her home in Strong Monday morning after a long illness. She was born in Dadeville, Ala., May 22, 1901, the daughter of N. A. and Val Harper Dopson. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Strong. Survivors include her husband, W. W. Laurie, a daughter, LaDonna Kay Defee, one sister, Mrs. Ed Morris of Jackson, Miss, and a brother, Martin Dopson of Smackover. Funeral services have been announced for Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Baptist Church of Strong under the direction of Pratt Funeral Home. The body was taken home Monday afternoon.
