December 4, 1887 - April 12, 1969
Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Abel Evans, 81, of Chidester, were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church of Chidester. Mrs. Evans who was the widow of Thomas A. Evans, died Saturday afternoon in the Ouachita Hospital. She owned and operated cafes for several years at Chidester and Louann; was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a Methodist. She is survived by one brother, Charlie Able of Chidester. Burial was in the Chidester cemetery by Proctors. (Camden News - April 16, 1969)
