Jerry D. Howard, 57, of Jacksonville, died Friday, November 5, 2004 in the V. A. Hospital at Little Rock. He was a disabled Vietnam veteran, and a member of the Community Chapel Church in North Little Rock. He was born February 14, 1947 in Sparkman, Arkansas, the son of Hillard "Red" Howard and Gertrude Ratcliff Howard. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Tommy and Clarence Howard and two grandchildren, Justin and Tyler Doherty. He is survived by one son, Chris Howard of Hope; three daughters, Lillie Ann Howard of Conway, Jerri Barnes of Malvern and Janie Doherty of Jacksonville; five brothers, Charles Howard and Theo Howard of Bearden, John Howard of Thornton, James Howard of Holly Springs and Terry Howard of Bearden; three sisters, Barbara Bledsoe of El Dorado, Lori Scoggins of Conway and Renea Barnes of Huttig; eight grandchildren, Josh, Amber, Lane and Braden Doherty, Sara and Andrew Barnes, Skylar and Katie Howard. Visitation will be Monday 6 pm until 8 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services are at 10:00 am Tuesday at the Benton Funeral Home. Burial at Moss Hill Cemetery in Bearden.
