BENTONVILLE — Curtis James Abshire, 64, of Bentonville passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, He was born March 5,1950, in Buckeye, Ariz., to the late Delbert Earl and Janie Mayo Abshire.

A longtime resident of Benton County, he was a member of the First Christian Church in Rogers and was a Mason. Whether it was camping, fishing, boating, skiing or gardening, he loved the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Connie Carter; a daughter, Jessica Harmon and his stepson, Bryan Ewing.

For more than 19 years he was the loving husband of Lori Ann Abshire, who survives; as do a son, Wesley Abshire of Fayetteville; a daughter, Tamara Lawson, and stepdaughter, Kim Ewing, both of Springfield, Mo.; two brothers, Jackie Abshire of Texas and Stanley Abshire of Highfill; six grandchildren, Levi and Dakota Matheson, Dylana Tilley, and Shanda, Samantha and Savannah Harmon; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville.

Funeral service will be at 2 pm tomorrow at First Christian Church in Rogers.

Arrangements are under the care of Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville.
