SPRINGDALE — German Alas, 80, of Springdale, joined the Lord Jesus Christ in Glory on Monday. March 25, 2013. He was born Nov. 14, 1932, in El Salvador to David and Mercedes Alas Perez. He enjoyed gardening, repairing mowers and cars and reading the Bible. He was a member of Robinson Avenue Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis German Alas and one brother, Francisco Alas.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Alas: his daughter, Gladys Rodriguez and husband, Onesimo; his sister, Concepion Zepeda and husband, Carlos; two grandchildren, Yadira and Giovanni Rodriguez; one niece, Sandra Perla and husband, Milton; and one nephew, Carlos Zepeda.
At Mr. Alas' request, no services will be held. Arrangements are with Heritage Funeral Horne.
