William Martin James Jr., passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 in Arkadelphia, Ark. He was born in Memphis, Tenn. on Dec. 21, 1919, to the late William Martin James Sr. and Blanche Moraity James.

He married his late wife, Dorothy McGinty, in Bryan, Texas during World War II. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas and was a chemical engineer. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his son, Dr. William Martin James III. of Arkadelphia; his daughter, Patricia James Stuart of Maumelle; his grandchildren, Charity O'Neil, of Sherwood, Ark., Christopher James of Hot Springs, Ark., and Bennett James of Little Rock, Ark.; and great-grandchildren, Autumn O'Neil and Paige O'Neil of Sherwood, Ark.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery in North Little Rock, Ark.
