We learn of the death of F.M. Salts, who had resided north of Beaty for many years, he having passed away Monday morning, June 7, 1915 after several days illness. His health had been bad for some time. Mr. Salts, once a neighbor of the editor, was a good man and Lee neighborhood loses a true neighbor and a good citizen. Mr. Salts' companion died about a year ago. He leaves four sons, Robert of Patterson, Kan.; Warren of Indiana; Charlie of Washington; Lisle, who resided with his father. Also two daughters, Mrs. Anna , who resided in Washington and Mrs. Kate West of Chelsea, Okla. Mr. Salts was a member of the Christian church. The funeral was held at the home and the body laid to rest beside his wife in Lee cemetery. The family have the sympathy of all in their loss.

SALTS, F.M. - (from Beaty) F.M. Salts, aged 73 years and eight months and 3 days, died at his home north of Beaty June 7, 1915 after several weeks' illness. He had been in poor health for over a year. Mr. Salts' wife died two years ago. He leaves six children. The funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Pritchard. The remains were laid to rest by the side of his wife in the Lee cemetery. We extend sympathy to the children and relatives.

SALTS, Frances - {from Beaty} Mrs. Frances Salts, wife of F.M. Salts, died April 1st, 1913 at 5 o'clock after an illness of several months' duration. Mrs. Salts was a good woman, a friend to all who knew her. She leaves a husband and six children. The funeral services were held at the home, conducted by Rev. Downing, Wednesday afternoon; and the body was laid to rest in Lee Cemetery For some years the News Herald editor lived neighbor to Mr. and Mrs. Salts and knows, indeed, the death of Mrs. Salts is the passing of a good woman; one devoted to her family all, a real neighbor in time of need, always with a cheerful, friendly word for everyone. Mrs. Salts was a Christian woman and had been for many years a member of the Christian church and she practiced Christianity in her everyday life. The bereaved husband and children have the sympathy of a host in their loss. The youngest son, Lisle, and family resided at the home, the others, Robert, at Patterson, Kan.; Mrs. Will West, Pryor, Okla.; Warren, a son and another married daughter, Mrs. Anne reside in the west and Charles in Indiana.- Ed.
