FAYETTEVILLE — Norman Ray Bryant, 64, a resident of Fayetteville passed away Oct. 20, 2013, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born March 9, 1949, in Fayetteville, the son of George and Masel McCarty Bryant.
Norman was warehouse supervisor for the Fayetteville Public School. He was a professional bull-fighter, rodeo clown and the founder of the Norman Bryant Foundation.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Bryant; one son, Darrin Bryant and wife, Jill, of Clinton, Ark.; two daughters, Melissa Bryant of Wisconsin, and Andrea Carter and husband, Bruce, of Hindsville, Ark.; one sister, Norma Shipp and husband, H.M., of Farmington, Ark.; one grandson, Hunter Carter; one niece, Brenda Shipp Sellers and husband, Mike; and host of friends, three great-nephews, five great-great-nephews.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6-7 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, 2 p.m. at the White Rock Light of Faith Church in Fayetteville, with burial in Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.
Pallbearers will be Michael Smith, Cody Smith, Bruce Carter, Jeff Whitenburg, David Hoffarth and Doc Hayes.
Family asks, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Norman Bryant Foundation, P.O. Box 154, Farmington, AR 72730.
