SPRINGDALE — Effie "Red" Cousins, age 60, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at the Regency Hospital Company Springdale, Ark.

Effie was born on Nov. 8, 1952, in Atoka, Okla., a daughter of Willis Clifford Murphy Sr. and Leona Florance Murphy. She retired from Quality Assurance with Tyson Foods. Effie was a proud mother and grandmother and loved her dogs.

She was preceded m death by her parents; one brother, Joe Murphy; and two sisters, Cathy Fields and Mary Eilerts.

Effie is survived by two sons, Darrell and Brandy Cousins and Jason and Megan Cousins, all of Springdale, Ark.; four grandchildren, Quinten Cousins, Cregan Cousins, Trenton Cousins and Elijah Cousins; one brother, Willis Murphy and wife, Peggy of Springdale, Ark.; three sisters, Phyllis Belt and husband, Larry, and Linda Hopkins, both of Springdale, Ark., and Rita Pinson and husband, Ernest of Rogers, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the funeral home with the Rev.
