SPRINGDALE — James "Luke" Lookingbill, 84, of Springdale, died Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice. He was born June 3, 1930 in Springdale to James Clifton and Theresa Dana Lewis Lookingbill.

Luke married Marie Miller on June 10, 1956 in Springdale. He was a longtime member of Elmdale Baptist Church. He served in the Army and retired from Harp's Food Stores. He was active with Campers on Mission and Friends of Devil's Den, and supported Caring Ministries in Tucson, Arizona. Luke enjoyed gardening, making bird houses, and cutting and splitting firewood. He loved to decorate the house and yard during Christmas and helping at the Siloam Springs Church Camp.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Lookingbill. In addition to his wife, Marie, he is survived by two daughters, Theresa Blevins and husband Tony, and Sherry Graves and husband Dan all of Springdale; two sisters, Mary Lou Humphries and husband Jim of Lindale, Texas, Sarah Schmidt and husband Lee of McKinney, Texas; one grandson, Samuel Graves of Springdale; a sister-in-law, Bobbie Lookingbill of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 26, at Elmdale Baptist Church. Burial will he at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will he from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home, online guest book at www.heritageofnwa.com.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Caring Ministries, 802 W. Calle Sur, Tucson, Ariz. 85705, or Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, Ark. 72762.
