ANDERSON, Mo. — David E. Craig Sr., 63 years, of Anderson, Mo., passed away on Monday, Feb. 10. 2014, at his home.

David was born on May 20, 1950, and raised on the family farm north of the Beaty Community Northwest of Gravette, Ark. He went to school at Gravette, Ark., where he graduated in 1967.

David went on to study Diesel Mechanics at the Petit Jean Vo Tech School in Morrilton, Ark. After graduating he then returned to Northwest Arkansas to begin his career working in local tractor dealerships and then became self-employed diesel mechanic for over 40 years throughout the remainder of his career until his recent retirement in 2012.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Walter (Paul) Craig and DeLoris Craig.

David is survived by his two brothers, Dwayne E. Craig and Tim Craig of Gravette, Ark.; two sisters, Sandra (Paulette) Choate of Harrison, Ark., Patricia (Patty) Pianatto of Springdale, Ark.; four sons, David E Craig Jr., Travis E. Craig, both of Gravette, Ark., Steve Demoss of Bella Vista, Ark., Roger Demoss of Nashville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Samantha and Newlly Craig, Wyatt E. and Madelyn Craig; David is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Feb. 25, 2014, at 1 p.m. at the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs, Ark.; a short graveside service will follow.

ANDERSON, Mo. — David E. Craig Sr., 63 years, of Anderson, Mo., passed away on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at his home. David was born on May 20, 1950, in Noel, Mo., and raised on the family farm north of the Beaty Community, northwest of Gravette, Ark.

He went to school at Gravette, Ark., where he graduated in 1968. David went on to study diesel mechanics at the Petit Jean Vo Tech School in Morrilton, Ark., and returned to Northwest Arkansas to begin his career of 40-plus years working for several local tractor dealerships before becoming a self-employed diesel and tractor mechanic in 1993 for the remainder of his career until his retirement in 2010.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter (Paul) Craig and Deloris Rankin Craig; his partner of eight years, Michele Ferguson Bordoy; her daughter, Christy Bordoy; and great-niece, Kaicee Josephine Willis.

David is survived by his two brothers, Dwayne E. Craig and Tim Craig of Gravette, Ark.; two sisters, Sandra (Paulette) Choate of Harrison, Ark., Patricia (Patty) PianaIto of Springdale, Ark.; four sons, David E. Craig Jr., Travis E. Craig, both of Gravette, Ark., Steve DeMoss of Bella Vista, Ark., Roger DeMoss of Nashville, Tenn.; and Sammie Bordoy Platt of Anderson, Mo., who David called his daughter, and her brother, Christopher Ferguson, of Nixa, Mo. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Samantha and Newlly Craig, Wyatt E. and Madelyn Craig, Kaci Bickford and Natalie Bordoy. David is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A celebration of David's life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014, from 2-5 p.m. at the home place on Beaty Road (Beaty Farm #1) on the corner of Beaty and Sibley roads. Please bring lawn chairs and stories to share with everyone about David. This will be a very informal service as this was David's wish.
