Mrs. J.B. McElwain died Monday morning after a long illness. The remains were interred in Bluff Cemetery Tuesday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. Grainger, pastor of the M.E. Church. Funeral services were held at the residence. Mr. McElwain and family came to this place only a few months ago from some point down on the St. Paul branch. He is a blacksmith, being in partnership with J.M. Robinson. The deceased had been an invalid for a number of years. She was not a member of any church, being a believer in the teachings of Christian Science. The father and children have the sympathy of the community in their affliction.
