William Clinton "W.C." Rogers Jr., 65, of Springdale, died Wednesday, April 21, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Fayetteville.
He was born Nov. 14, 1927, at Springdale to Cleada E. Graham and W.C. Rogers Sr. He was a residential builder and developer, a retired project superintendent with General Growth, Des Moines, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Springdale, the Springdale City Council, and the Kiwanis Club. He resided and built shopping centers in Eureka, Calif.; Bellingham, Wash.; Farmington and Gallup, N.M.; Minot, N.D.; Jefferson City and Des Moine, Iowa; Pine Bluff and Bella Vista.
Survivors are his wife, Virginia Lea Clark Rogers; three sons, Michael D. Rogers of Thousand Oaks, Calif., David L. Rogers of Fayetteville, and Gerald C. Rogers of Springdale; a daughter, Melissa A. Martinez of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; a brother, Sammy Dean Rogers of Rogers; two sisters, Anna Lea Petty of Springdale and Brenda E. Rogers of Lowell; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Sisco Funeral Chapel, Springdale, with the Rev. Burton A. Miley officiating. Burial is to be in Friendship Cemetery, Springdale. Visitation is set for 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Springdale, P.O. Box 1169, Bentonville, 72712; or the Northwest Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute, 5835 W. Sunset, Springdale 72762.

FAYETTEVILLE — Virginia Lea George, 86, of Fayetteville passed away Friday, March 14, 2014, in St. Louis, Mo. She was born Nov. 28, 1927, in Wellington, Kan., to Russell James and Virginia (Honey) Lea Goodman Clark.
Virginia was a member of Cross Church in Springdale where she was involved in many activities. She was also active at The Jones Center for Families and she was involved with several committees at Butterfield.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, W.C. Rogers Jr.; and her second husband, Gene George; one son, Michael D. Rogers.
Survivors include two sons, David Rogers and wife, Donna, of Parrish, Fla., and Jerry Rogers and wife, Kelly Gill, of Springdale; daughter, Melissa Rogers and Eric Schmidt of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; two daughters-in-law, Robin Rogers of Springdale, Lana Rogers of Dallas; seven grandchildren, Chris Rogers, Hannah Kuzlo, Sam Rogers, Zachary Rogers, Jacob Rogers, Kelsey Rogers and Jessica Barge; seven great-grandchildren, Zane Rogers, Haley Rogers, Lucas Kuzlo, Madison Rogers, Maddox Rogers, Emma Barge and Hailie Barge.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Cross Church in Springdale, with The Rev. Charlie Foster officiating.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72762.
