SPRINGDALE — Charles D. Petersen, 72, of Springdale died Oct. 17, 2005, at Fayetteville. He was horn July 28, 1933, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, to Edwin and Loretta Orr Petersen. He was a Baptist and served in the Air Force for 24 years. He retired as manager from Highway Liquor Store in Springdale.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Lewis Petersen of the home, to whom he was married Dec. 12, 1955; one son, Michael Petersen of Springdale; two daughters, Cassie Carpenter of West Fork and Karen McDowell of Springdale; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bluff Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Pettigrew officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale.
