Alfred Young Clingan, 58, of 205 1/2 E. Oak St., Seminole, Okla., died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at this home. He was a former resident of El Dorado. A native of Randolph, La., he was born June 13, 1909, the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Clingan. He had been a long-time employe of the Rock Island Railroad and recently moved from El Dorado to Seminole, where he was depot agent. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in El Dorado and of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marie Kelley Clingan of Seminole; two sons, Joseph R. Clingan of Memphis, Tenn., and John Patrick Clingan of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, and three sisters, Mrs. Carl Miller of New Orleans, La., Mrs. Charles Drobrieweski of Arab, Ala. and Mrs. J. D> Roberts of Gulfport, Miss. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Young's with Dr. Don Harbuck officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young's. Active pallbearers are Charles J. Engleberger, Jim Gray, Andrew Sidor, Earl Cook, Adolph DeBoser and Hubert D. Lindsay. Honorary pallbearers will be the Walter Fay's Bible Class of the First Baptist Church. (El Dorado Daily News - June 29, 1967)
