3 Killed, two injured in Collision
Conway - Three persons were killed and two were injured about 12:15 a.m. Sunday in a two-car accident on state Highway 365 about two miles north of the Pulaski-Faulkner county line.

Killed were Derven E. Sturgeon, 41, his wife, Mrs Vetola Turner Sturgeon, 35, and Robert Reeder, 54, all of near Mount Vernon (Faulkner County).

Injured were Betty Lou Ward Sturgeon 37, of Conway, and Joe Allen Porter, 28, of Conway.

Reeder and the passengers in a 1964 Volkswagon being driven north by Sturgeon when it was struck from the rear by a 1966 Dodge driven north by Porter, according to state Trooper John Purcell who investigated the accident.

Surviving Sturgeon are his parents, Mr and Mrs. Virgil Sturgeon of Mount Vernon; a brother, Even Sturgeon of Vilonia (Faulkner County), and a sister, Mrs Christine Black of Conway.

Surviving Mrs. Sturgeon are three brothers, Elmoe Turner of Benton, C. R. Turner of Oklahoma and Allie Turner of Lonoke, and three sisters, Mrs Norma Lee Brazier and Mrs. A. W. Gregg, both of Enola (Faulkner County) and Mrs. Walter Griffin of Benton.

Surviving Reeder are his mother, Mrs. Lillian Reeder of California; four brothers, Eddie Reeder of Kansas, Raymond and E. G. Reeder, both of California and Mrs Hazel Irons of Oklahoma.

Arrangements are by McNutt Funeral Home.
