Eli Wesley Hinson, 96, died Friday morning at a Magnolia hospital following a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Union County where he was a farmer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a 32nd degree Mason. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. O. B. Tanner of Fouke; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Parkers Chapel with the Rev. Leo Beck officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. W. W. Barron and the Rev. J. B. Swaim. Interment will be in Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction Bailey Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the Ray Evers home on Rt. 1, EL Dorado, where it will remain until 1 p.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be Oliver P. Tanner, Jr., Clifford Batte, Ray Evers, Elton Patterson, Odell Patterson and Ralph Patterson. (El Dorado Times - October 24, 1969)
