John Raymond Teague, 90, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on May 26, 2014 in Mountain View, Arkansas. John was born on January 28, 1924 in Fox, Arkansas to John and Rebecca (Lorance) Teague. John worked for most of his life as a logger and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Mountain View.
John is survived by his wife Bertie (Hopper) Teague; six sons, Larry Howard and wife Shirley of Searcy, Arkansas, Billy Teague and wife Carolyn of Beebe, Arkansas, Jimmy Teague and wife Janice of Jonesville, Louisiana, Ronnie Teague and wife Losi of Jonesville, Louisiana, Ira Teague and wife Debbie of Jonesville, Louisiana, and Harold Teague and wife Teresa of Quitman, Arkansas; four daughters, Carol Slater and husband Fred of Mountain View, Arkansas, Theda Bryson of Salem, Arkansas, Wanda McIlroy and husband David of Pocahontas, Arkansas, and Melissa Ellison and husband Gary of Mountain View, Arkansas; thirty grandchildren, fourty four great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rebecca (Lorance) Teague; six brothers; one granddaughter, Makayla; two daughters-in-law, Judy Teague and Linda Teague, and two sons-in-law, Bob Bryson, and John Reynolds.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 5-9PM at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014, 2:00PM at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Officiating are Dr. John Scheel and Brother Wilford. Interment will follow the service at the Historic Cemetery of Mountain View in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Larry Howard, Billy Teague, Jimmy Teague, Ronnie Teague, Ira Teague, and Harold Teague. Honorary pallbearers are David Lee McIlroy, Jonathan Reynolds, Josh Slater, Roger Howard, Paul Bryson, and James Teague.
