Green Parrott died Tuesday night at his home in Springdale, the result of a stroke of paralysis, received on Friday. Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church yesterday morning at ten o'clock and the remains were interred in Bluff Cemetery. Deceased was a native of Green County, Tenn. and had been a resident of Springdale for about thirty years past. For some years after coming here he followed the carpenter's trade but for the past few years he had to abandon his work on account of ill health. He was a soldier in the Federal army during the Civil War. Deceased is survived by a widow and five children, three sons and two daughters. The sons are Frank, who resides in Springdale; Charles and Gertie, the former being in a northwestern state and the latter in Illinois. The daughters are Mrs. L.E. Bushnell of Crowder, Ok. and Mrs. C.L. Baker of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by a brother, whose home is at Oklahoma City. The brother, accompanied by his wife, and the two daughters, arrived Wednesday afternoon to be present at the funeral.
