Jesse 0. Gibson, 75, of Springdale died Thursday, Feb. 23, 1995, at Northwest Medical Center. Born Aug. 4, 1919, at Spring Valley, the son of Lifus and Kathryn Rose Bowlin Gibson, he was a retired painting contractor, a member of Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and served in the Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Christina Gibson the home, to whom he was married April 9, 1950; two sons, Lonnie Gibson of Fayetteville and David Gibson of Bentonville; a daughter, Helen Blankenship of Columbia, S.C.; a brother, Jack Gibson of Seattle, Wash.; a sister, Helen Lee of Little Rock and six grandchildren.
Funeral will be Monday, 10 a.m., at Sisco Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Loy Counts and the Rev. RueDell Smith officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Memorials may be made to the Jesse Gibson Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 201, Fayetteville, 72702.
