The Springdale News
Friday, February 7, 1908
GREGG, B.W. - {from The Fayetteville Daily, Monday) Yesterday morning at 11:15 our townsman, B.W. Gregg, went "the way of all the earth." He has been in failing health for several years and the end was not unexpected. Mr. Gregg was born at Evergeen, this county, about 66 years ago. For twenty-six years he was a resident of Springdale and was postmaster for four years, during the administration of President Arthur. He moved to this city about six years ago and was very popular among a wide circle of friends. He was married to Miss Francis C. Daily in 1869. Seven children blessed the union, six of whom are living, namely: Mrs. Art Lewis, Miss Edna, Miss Pansy and Alfred Gregg, of this city; Mrs. Nellie Fair of Dayton, Washington and Chas. L. Gregg of Eureka Springs. The funeral services were held at the Central Methodist Church this afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. P.C. Fletcher officiating, and the interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
