Flor Maria Midkiff, 71, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord March 30, 2015. She was born June 25, 1943 in San Jose, Costa Rica, to the late Hernand and Ortencia. Flor met her husband of 55 years while he was a missionary. She was an ordained minister and served as a missionary for many years of her life. Flor studied Children’s Literature and loved sewing and making clothes for her grandchildren and quilts for her family. Her greatest love was spending time with her husband and family. Flor maintained a beautiful garden and enjoyed making sweet breads. She loved roses, but her favorite flowers were gardenias.

Flor is preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Maria.

Survivors include her husband, Mahlon Midkiff; sons, SSG Richard Midkiff (Kathy), Wayne Midkiff (Janie); daughters, Alice Franke (Kevin), Anissa Odom (Vince), Anna Terry (John), Zandra Westinkirchner (Gregory), Audra Bower (Raymond); 24 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Teddy Frye officiating.

Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are the Residents of Lakewood Convalescent Home.
