Wife of Will Hunter
July 9, 1887 - April 26, 1969
Mrs. Maggie Hunter, 81, died in a local hospital Friday. She was born in Three Creeks on July 9, 1887, the daughter of Mrs. Phronie Mathews. She was a member of the El Bethel Baptist Church in Three Creeks. Surviving her are seven daughters, Mrs. Samantha Moore, Three Creeks, Mrs. Myrtle Collins, Mrs. Fannie M. Ashley and Mrs. Everlyn Sweetall of Los Angles, Calif, Mrs. Inez Stevens, Mrs. Ozaree Robinson and Mrs. Dessie L. Browning of San Francisco, Calif.; two sons Willie Claud hunter, Palmdale, Calif. and Marshall Hunter, Los Angeles, one sister, Mrs. Etta Wysinger, Three Creeks, one brother, Marshall Smith, Three Creeks; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the El Bethel Baptist Church Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. L. D. Champion and the Rev. T. L. Green officiating. Burial will follow in the El Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Marks Funeral Home of Magnolia. (El Dorado Times - April 28, 1969)
