AVOCA — Lee Gerald Rock, 83, of Avoca died Nov. 28, 2005, at St Mary's Hospital in Rogers. He was born Sept. 17, 1922, in Grove, Okla., to Frank and Marie Jackson Rock. He was preceded in death by his wife, Liliane Pierron Rock, in 1997, and one son, Frank Alan Rock. He moved to the area in 1969 from Belgium, after retiring from the Army as a command sergeant major. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rogers and the VFW. He enjoyed woodworking, reading and gardening.
Survivors include one son, Jeffery Rock and wife Sandra of Gravette; two daughters, Catherine Rock of Avoca and Patricia Hobbs and husband Jack of Rogers; two brothers-in-law, John Martindale and Michel Pierron; two sisters-in-law, Monique and Micheline Pierron; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Callison-Lough Bentonville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Disabled American Veterans, DAV Memorial Program, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, Ohio 45250-0301 or the Salvation Army, 504 N. Dixieland Road, Rogers, 72756.
Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers.
