Claude Dale Martin was born in Saddle, Arkansas, on September 28, 1944, son of Orville and Dorothy May (Moss) Martin. He departed this life Tuesday, November 4, 2014, in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, at the age of 70 years, 1 month and 7 days.
Claude was united in marriage to Sue Billingsley on June 3, 1965, at Melbourne, Arkansas. He served his Country during the Vietnam War with the U S Army. Claude was a data analyst for the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed boating and traveling across the United States and was of the Baptist faith.
Claude is survived by his wife Sue of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; two daughters, Michelle Cooper and husband Ed of Melbourne, Arkansas, and Renee Shaw and husband Casey of Sidney, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Katie, Loni Beth, Molly, Cara and Caysen; one brother, Ray Martin of Marietta, Texas; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Dorothy Martin; one sister, Ruby Davis and three brothers, Rayburn, Dean and Hubertis Martin.
Private services will be held at a later date with services entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to Hospice of North Arkansas, 400 South College, Suite 2, Mountain Home, Arkansas 72653, Calico Rock Elementary School Food Room or Roberts Cemetery Association of Franklin, Arkansas.
